The Museum of Europe project has been driven since 1997 by the not-for-profit-association Museum of Europe. Co-chaired by Ms Antoinette Spaak, Minister of State and by Mr Karel Van Miert, Minister of State and former Vice-President of the European Commission, this association comprises personalities from all walks of life. The bodies of the association are assisted by three specialist committees: • the scientific committee, headed by the historian Krzysztof Pomian; • the financial committee, chaired by Baron Jean Godeaux; • the committee of the founding members, chaired by Baron Daniel Janssen.
